The PIXCI® Frame Server driver allows simple integration of PIXCI® frame grabbers into LabView, Matlab and other programming environments supporting Media Foundation[1] or DirectShow API’s; allows use of the Windows ‘Camera’ and other third party image/video display applications; and provides an alternative API for creating custom applications incorporating PIXCI® frame grabbers.
The PIXCI® V4L2 driver allows simple integration of PIXCI® frame grabbers into GStreamer, Matlab and other programming environments supporting V4L2; allows use of ‘vlc’ and other third party image/video display applications; and provides an alternative API for creating custom applications incorporating PIXCI® frame grabbers.
The XCAP GUI application, and the PXIPL C/C++ SDK now support the "BigTIFF" image file format. While TIFF format is limited to a file size of 4 GByte (for one image or a sequence of images), BigTIFF supports a file size of up to 16 EByte (264 bytes) - supporting storage of long sequences of large images!
The Video for Linux driver now supports Dma-Buf (VB2_DMABUF) mode. This allows sharing of frame buffers with other DmaBuf-aware applications - such as a GPU - and avoid the copying of pixel data .
Support for Boundary Devices NITROGEN6_MAX, PHYTEC phyFlex-1.MX, SolidRun Hummingboard Edge, and similar imx6 platforms has been added for PIXCI E series products.
M.2M and M.2A/E bus interface boards are now available for the PIXCI® miniH2B, minih2F, miniH2BL and miniH2FL frame grabbers. Please contact us for more details.
Please see XCAP Application Note — PIXCI® Imaging Drivers: Media Foundation Frame Server (Windows 'Camera' Device & DirectShow Source) for further details.
A new Python module and wrapper for XCLIB that allows easy access to PIXCI® frame grabbers, images, and video from from Python scripts is now available.
The AVerMedia EA713-AAMN-0000 carrier board for the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier fully supports our M.2 M PIXCI miniH2 series, miniH2x4F, and mf2280 boards.
